What are the processes used in the production of glass water cups

1. Raw material preparation: The main raw materials for glass water cups are quartz sand, alkali, limestone, and alumina. These raw materials need to be mixed in specific proportions and melted at high temperatures to form glass liquid.

2. Forming process:

a. Blowing process: Take out the melted glass liquid from the glass furnace and blow it into the mold using a glass blowing tube. Craftsmen blow air into the mold according to its shape and design, and adjust the shape with tools to gradually shape the glass liquid into a water cup.

b. Vacuum molding process: Melted glass liquid is injected into the mold of the vacuum molding machine, and the glass liquid is adsorbed into the shape of the mold through negative pressure adsorption.

c. Mold pressing process: Put the melted glass liquid into a pre made mold, and then use pressure to hydraulic the glass into the shape of a water cup.

3. Annealing treatment: In order to eliminate internal stress generated during the forming process and increase the strength of the glass water cup, the formed water cup needs to be placed in the annealing kiln for slow heating and cooling.

4. Making the bottom: According to design requirements, process or paste a bottom pad at the bottom of the water cup to improve its stability and durability.

5. Surface treatment: Glass water cups can be surface treated as needed, such as sanding, polishing, sandblasting, coating, etc., to increase their texture and aesthetics.
